Use the calculator to perform unstructured computations. The calculator has two forms: one for BlackBerry devices with wide screens and another for devices with reduced screens.
A. View Window
The calculator performs computations by entering the entire equation in the top portion of the view window and then select Enter to calculate. The result appears in the lower portion.
See the Performing Calculations section for additional information.
B. Keypad
Each button on the screen correlates to a key on your device. These buttons try to correlate as close as possible to the contents of the key. To help locate desired functions, each button is color-coded:
- Grey: Number entry [i.e., 0 through 9, decimal separator]
- Yellow: math symbols [i.e., +, -, x]
- Green: math functions [i.e., natural log, (, )]
- Red: special buttons [i.e., backspace, math list]
- Blue: Enter button
Each button is defined in the Functions & Buttons section.
C. Status Bar
The status bar provides helpful information to help with entering your expression.
D. Menu
Select the trackball or clickwheel to display the menu.
