The calculator is integrated with the templates as well as acts as a stand-alone calculator. This section discusses how the calculator integrates with the templates.
- See the Dashboard section for information on accessing the calculator in stand-alone mode.
- See the Template Menu section for information on accessing the calculator from the templates.
- See the Calculator section for additional information on using the calculator.
When called from a template, the calculator integrates two additional features: the ability to recall the highlighted value from the template and the ability to save the calculator's result back to the template's highlighted row.
Recalling a Template's Value
When called from a template, the calculator adds 'Template: Recall' to the menu. Select this option to recall the template's highlighted value to the View Window.
Saving the Calculator's Result
When called from a template, the calculator will ask what you would like to do with the last result when returning to that template. Select 'Yes' to recall the last result and override the highlighted value. Select 'No' to not recall the last result.
Impact on the Calculator
Any changes in the calculator persist from use-to-use. For instance, if you recall a value from a template to the View Window, perform a calculation and return, that calculation will still be visible the next time the calculator is displayed and its last result and expression will be in the Calculator History.
