Installing Software - Windows with Palm OS/Pocket PC Computers

Upgrades -- Palm OS and Windows

** FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY. **

1. Install the Windows Desktop Version
   1. Make sure all powerOne products* are closed. Run the software and choose the File menu then Exit.
   2. Select "Install Windows Version" and follow the on-screen instructions.
   3. Launch the powerOne software from the icon on your desktop.
   4. Select "Yes" to import templates from other powerOne products* (if offered).
   5. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall other powerOne products* (if offered).
   6. Exit powerOne by selecting the powerOne menu then Exit.
2. Install the Palm OS Handheld Version
   1. Place the handheld device in the cradle or connect it to your desktop system.
   2. Select "Install Handheld Version" and follow the on-screen instructions.
   3. Synchronize your device.
   4. Run the powerOne software on your handheld computer. Templates from other powerOne products* will be imported automatically and those products will be deleted.
3. Install Pack (if applicable)
   1. Select "Install Pack" and follow the on-screen instructions.
   2. Synchronize your device.
   3. Run the powerOne software on your handheld computer. The Pack will be installed.
   4. Run the powerOne software on your desktop computer. The Pack will be installed.
4. Synchronize your device again.

Upgrades -- Pocket PC and Windows

** FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY. **

1. Install the Windows Desktop Version
   1. Make sure all powerOne products* are closed. Run each software title and choose the File menu then Exit.
   2. Select "Install Windows Version" and follow the on-screen instructions.
   3. Launch the powerOne software from the icon on your desktop.
   4. Select "Yes" to import templates from other powerOne products* (if offered).
   5. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall other powerOne products* (if offered).
   6. Exit powerOne by selecting the powerOne menu then Exit.
2. Install the PocketPC Handheld Version
   1. Place the handheld device in the cradle or connect it to your desktop system.
   2. Select "Install Handheld Version" and follow the on-screen instructions.
   3. Remove the handheld computer from the cradle.
   4. Run the powerOne software on your handheld computer.
   5. Select "Yes" to import templates from other powerOne products* (if offered).
   6. Exit powerOne by selecting the powerOne menu then Exit.
3. Remove powerOne CRE* from the handheld computer (if applicable). Use Settings->System->Remove on the device and select "powerOne CRE".
4. Install Pack (if applicable)
   1. Place the handheld device in the cradle or connect it to your desktop system.
   2. Select "Install Pack" and follow the on-screen instructions.
   3. Run the powerOne software on your handheld computer. The Pack will be installed.
   4. Run the powerOne software on your desktop computer. The Pack will be installed.
5. Synchronize your powerOne Software
   1. Place the handheld device in the cradle or connect it to your desktop system.
   2. Run the powerOne software on your desktop computer.
   3. Select the synchronize button (looks like the ActiveSync icon) in the menu bar.

First-Time Installation

1. Place the handheld device in the cradle or connect it to your desktop system.
2. Install the handheld software.
3. Install the desktop software.
4. Install the Pack (if applicable).
5. Run the handheld software.
6. Run the desktop software.
7. Synchronize the software.
   • For Palm OS, HotSync with the cradle's button or on-device application.
   • For Pocket PC, run the powerOne software on your desktop and select the synchronize button (looks like the ActiveSync icon) in the menu bar.
