Installing Libraries

Installation on Palm OS Handhelds

1. Place the device in the cradle and make sure it is connected to your computer.
2. Save the library to your desktop/laptop computer. REMEMBER THE SAVE LOCATION.
3. On the desktop computer, double-click the file's icon. This should start the Palm OS Install Tool.
4. Synchronize your Palm OS handheld computer.
5. Run the powerOne application. The library's functionality should be available automatically.

Installation on Pocket PC Handhelds

1. Place the device in the cradle and make sure it is connected to your computer.
2. Save the library to your desktop/laptop computer. REMEMBER THE SAVE LOCATION.
3. Click the 'Explore' icon on Microsoft ActiveSync to open the file explorer view of the device and copy the template file from the desktop computer onto the device in the Program Files->Infinity SW->Shared directory.
4. Run the powerOne application. The library's functionality should be available automatically.

Installation on Windows Computers

1. Save the library to your desktop/laptop computer to the Program Files->InfinitySW->Shared directory.
2. Run the powerOne application. The library's functionality should be available automatically.

Problem Solving

1. Is Palm OS Desktop or ActiveSync installed (for handheld versions only)? To install, see the CD-ROM that came with your handheld computer. If you have installation problems, contact your device manufacturer.
2. Can you synchronize your handheld computer (for handheld versions only)? Make sure your cradle is connected to the desktop/laptop computer. If you cannot synchronize, contact your device manufacturer.
3. Did the installer run without error if an executable version is available? If not, try again. If it fails a second time, contact Infinity Softworks with an exact description of the problem.
4. Did you install to the correct user (HotSync) name (Palm OS only)? It is possible to synchronize multiple handhelds with the same desktop/laptop computer. To fix, re-install the software to the correct HotSync name.
5. Did you synchronize your handheld computer after the installation process (handheld version only)? If not, synchronize now.
6. Is there a message in the HotSync log (Palm OS only)? Select the "Log" button at the bottom of the HotSync application on your Palm OS handheld computer.
7. Do you have enough memory available? To see how much memory the Infinity Softworks application uses, see the product page.
8. Did you close the application first (Pocket PC and Windows versions only)? To close, open the software and choose "Exit" on the File menu.
9. Will the library work with the current version of the application? Check the software version number in the About powerOne screen and the library's requirements in the Add-Ons Collection.
