Installing Other Add-Ons

Infinity Softworks' powerOne Graph product can export data and graph files. This page includes installation instructions.

Installation on Palm OS Handhelds

  1. Place the device in the cradle and make sure it is connected to your computer.
  2. Save the file to your desktop/laptop computer. REMEMBER THE SAVE LOCATION.
  3. On the desktop computer, double-click the file's icon.
    • If the file is an executable (.exe), double-click and follow the on-screen directions.
    • If the file is zipped (.zip), use an unzip utility like WinZip or StuffIt Expander to extract the archive file first. Open that folder to find the files ending in .prc or .pdb. Move to the next bullet.
    • If the file ends in .prc or .pdb, double-click to run the Palm OS Install Tool. Once all files are installed, close the Install Tool and move to the next step.
  4. Synchronize your Palm OS handheld computer.
  5. Run the powerOne application. The data and graph files will import automatically.
For importing from a memory card, Infinity Softworks recommends copying the files to your device's main memory then running the application.

Installation on Pocket PC Handhelds

Data and graph files are not currently available for Pocket PC versions of our software.

Installation on Windows Computers

Data and graph files are not currently available for Windows versions of our software.

Problem Solving

  1. Is Palm OS Desktop installed? To install, see the CD-ROM that came with your handheld computer. If you have Palm OS Desktop installation problems, contact your device manufacturer.
  2. Can you synchronize your handheld computer? Make sure your cradle is connected to the desktop/laptop computer. If you cannot synchronize, contact your device manufacturer.
  3. Did the installer run without error if an executable version is available? If not, try again. If it fails a second time, contact Infinity Softworks with an exact description of the problem.
  4. Did you install to the correct user (HotSync) name? It is possible to synchronize multiple handhelds with the same desktop/laptop computer. To fix, re-install the software to the correct HotSync name.
  5. Did you synchronize your handheld computer after the installation process? If not, synchronize now.
  6. Is there a message in the HotSync log? Select the "Log" button at the bottom of the HotSync application on your Palm OS handheld computer.
  7. Do you have enough memory available on your handheld? See your device manual to determine available memory.
  8. Did you look in My Data or My Graphs to make sure it installed? Both are available by selecting the "powerOne" button. Remember, both are sorted into categories.
