Installing Skins
Infinity Softworks' powerOne products include display customization with skins. This page includes installation instructions.
- Place the device in the cradle and make sure it is connected to your computer.
- Save the skin file to your desktop/laptop computer. REMEMBER THE SAVE LOCATION.
- On the desktop computer, double-click the file's icon.
- If the file is an executable (.exe), double-click and follow the on-screen directions.
- If the file is zipped (.zip), use an unzip utility like WinZip or StuffIt Expander to extract
the file first. Open that folder to find the skin files ending in .pdb. Move to the next bullet.
- If the file ends in .prc or .pdb, double-click to run the Palm OS Install Tool. Once all
files are installed, close the Install Tool and move to the next step.
- Synchronize your Palm OS handheld computer.
- Run the powerOne application. The skins will import automatically.
- To change skins, select 'powerOne' then 'Skins'. Select the desired skin and choose 'OK'.
For importing from a memory card, Infinity Softworks recommends copying the skin to your device's main memory then running the application.
Skins are not currently available for Pocket PC versions of our software.

- Is Palm OS Desktop installed? To install, see the CD-ROM that came with your handheld computer. If you have Palm OS Desktop installation problems, contact your device manufacturer.
- Can you synchronize your handheld computer? Make sure your cradle is connected to the desktop/laptop computer. If you cannot synchronize, contact your device manufacturer.
- Did the installer run without error if an executable version is available? If not, try again. If it fails a second time, contact Infinity Softworks with an exact description of the problem.
- Did you install to the correct user (HotSync) name? It is possible to synchronize multiple handhelds with the same desktop/laptop computer. To fix, re-install the software to the correct HotSync name.
- Did you synchronize your handheld computer after the installation process? If not, synchronize now.
- Is there a message in the HotSync log? Select the "Log" button at the bottom of the HotSync application on your Palm OS handheld computer.
- Do you have enough memory available on your handheld? To see how much memory the Infinity Softworks application uses, see the product page.
- Did you look in powerOne->Skins to make sure it didn't install?
- Will the skin run on this application? Check the software name in the About powerOne screen and the skin's requirements in the Add-Ons Collection.
- Will the skin run on the current version of the application? Check the software version number in the About powerOne screen and the skin's requirements in the Add-Ons Collection.
