Removing Software
Click here for instructions on removing software from your BlackBerry smartphone.
- Go to the Home screen.
- Select the menu button below the Home button or select the title bar (time).
- Choose "Delete" from the App menu.
- Find the application in the list and select it.
- Select the "Delete" button and confirm.
Note 1: you will also need to uninstall the software from your desktop/laptop computer. See below.
Note 2: deleting the software application will also delete all templates, skins and data associated with the application. You will still need to delete libraries. Click here for instructions.
- Select the "Start" button (Windows "flag) in the top, left-hand corner of the screen.
- Select the "Settings" option.
- Choose the "System" tab.
- Scroll down and choose "Remove Programs".
- Select the application to remove.
- Select the "Remove" button and confirm.
Note: you will also need to uninstall the software from your desktop/laptop computer. See below.
If you installed onto your handheld device using an archive (.zip) file:
- Drag the entire file to the trash/recycle bin.
- Empty the trash/recycle bin.
If you installed the desktop version or you installed onto your handheld device using an executable (.exe) file:
- Select the "Start" button.
- Select the "Settings" option (skip for Windows XP).
- Select the "Control Panel" option.
- Select "Add/Remove Programs".
- Select the application to remove.
- Select the "Remove" button and confirm.
Note: if you are removing both the handheld and desktop versions, you will need to repeat the process for each version.
